In 1909, The Plastic Club moved into its this building on South Camac Street. Members donated the majority of the furnishings. The building actually consists of two houses built in
1824. The club purchased the property in 1909, and expanded it to include the house next door in 1910.
Combining the two buildings afforded an exceptionally fine studio/gallery on the second floor. The Philadelphia Historical Commission declared it a Historic Building in 1962.
The Camac st building houses the club's spacious studio, gallery space, offices and dining facilities.
Since 1897, The Plastic Club has been devoted to the promotion and preservation of the visual (plastic) arts in Philadelphia. The busy gallery schedule offers several annual exhibitions for members and non-members, as well as invited artists in solo and group exhibitions.
