As always, trust the British to do the important research that nobody over here has the guts to do. A member of England's Society for Psychical Research has reported that mobile phones are killing ghosts, or whatever it is one does to ghosts, seeing as they're supposed to be dead already. Whatever the technical term for the demise of spirits, reports to the society of ghost sightings have apparently dropped over the past 15 years as cellular phone use has spread, possibly because the paranormal events most scientists put down to unusual electrical activity could be drowned out by the electronic noise of mobile phones. Yet another-good reason to turn off the cell phone when visiting The Myrtles. |
